Sadly, Bo the Raven died this morning. It was unexpected, but also not unpredictable. He'd been getting more and more light, and we didn't feel it appropriate to force-feed him more, because he was (by our estimations) an elderly bird, and it would have been a humiliation for him. So he passed, the crows and magpies were in attendance. I sang him and ancient raven song just before his last breaths, and then I brought him home to the river
